Post harvest meeting February 19

Members attended our post-harvest meeting at Karstens, 123 Queen St, Melbourne on Friday 19 February 2016.

Our agenda for this meeting included discussion of:

• Review of the harvest volumes and quality from GrainCorp, GrainFlow and Emerald
• Update of supply and demand from Pro Farmer
• Discussion on grain supply for 2016
• Outline of trends in malting barley varieties and assessment by Andrew Gee of Barley Australia
• Update on broader industry issues from GTA
• Introduction to new GIAV members Point 2 Point Logistics and Cremer Australia
• Review of the various geographical delivery ranges that trade within Victoria
• Review of container sampling techniques for export
