2019 GIAV Annual Lunch & AGM
Over 100 members and guests enjoyed networking, new crop outlook and teh sponsorship of NAB at Victoria’s grain industry networking event of the year, the GIAV Annual Lunch and AGM. This year our meeting was held at Harbour Room, 2 Pier Road St Kilda from 10 am to 3 pm on Friday September 6. Our morning meeting provided crop outlook discussion from our expert panel and included east coast grain demand and possible supply options given the critically low production.

Venue – Located upstairs at the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, with panoramic views of St Kilda beach and pier and distinct period character, Harbour Room was our venue for the GIAV Annual Lunch this year.
Production Outlook – In the morning a group of respected panellists provided a region-by-region review of grain, pulse and oilseed production outlook. Once again the grain production in eastern Australia will be heavily weighted to our south-eastern corner of Australia.
AGM At 10 am on Friday September 6, the GIAV conducted its Annual General Meeting at Harbour Room, 2 Pier Road St Kilda. After many years of valued contribution Peter Allen and Craig Perkins retired from the committee. Under normal GIAV rules Reagan Stroud was eligible to renominate for the committee. Katrina Liston of Cargill and Linden Stevens of Ridley also nominated for the committee and as nominations equalled the vacant positions, all three nominations were duly elected to the committee.
